I think most of us can agree that cornbread is a quintessential fall staple. It pairs well with chili, stew, BBQ, and even shines as the main component of stuffing when Thanksgiving rolls around!
This delicious cornbread comes together in a matter of minutes and is made with a few simple whole food ingredients. Enjoy!

Honey & Tallow Cornbread
Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk or whey (we used whey)
1/2 cup whole milk
1 large egg
1/4 cup Royal Honey
1/4 cup Royal Beef Tallow
Additional honey for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F
- Place (10 inch) cast iron skillet in oven to heat
- Whisk dry ingredients in a bowl
- Add wet ingredients
- Stir until just combined
- Pull hot cast iron skillet out of oven
- Add Royal Beef Tallow to hot skillet and allow to melt
- Pour batter in to skillet
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden
- Cool slightly before serving
- Slice and drizzle Royal Honey on top
- Enjoy!
