This honey caramel uses a few simple dairy products combined with Royal Honey to make a delightfully sweet treat! It only uses honey as a sweetener and is perfect for autumn—it pairs well with everything from apples, to pretzels, to ice cream. Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup butter
- Heaping 1/2 cup Royal Honey
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions:
- Melt the butter and Royal Honey together in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Increase the heat slightly, and allow to simmer gently for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened and darkened in color.
- Add the cream, whisk to combine.
- Allow to just come to a boil, then remove saucepan from the heat.
- Stir in the sea salt.
- Let stand for 5-10 minutes for the sauce to cool slightly.
