The Grow Renaissance was launched on Monday September 3 (Labor Day) as a way to salute the farmers and the thankless work that they and their families put in.
Grow Renaissance will focus on topics such as regenerative agriculture, food supply decentralization, real world blockchain applications, and how we as a community can create a renaissance to nourish the world bridging the gap between producer and consumer.
In the first episode, Will Taylor and Austin Allred discuss the origins of the Grow Renaissance and how they got to where they are today. They talk about their backgrounds in farming and the disconnect between consumers and farmers. Austin shares his idea for FarmTracer, a platform that would provide transparency and traceability in the food industry. They discuss the pros and cons of implementing FarmTracer and the challenges they faced in scaling the platform. They also introduce the concept of the Grow Renaissance, which aims to marry tradition and technology to feed the world in the best way possible.
Austin Allred and Will Taylor share a common goal of nourishing people, animals and the planet. That has made the partnership between Allred, a multi-generational farmer, and Taylor, a tech startup entrepreneur, a no-brainer. Allred’s Royal Family Farming and Taylor’s Grow United have partnered to bring transparency to the food supply chain industry.
Future episodes will feature other farmers and stakeholders in regenerative practices as well as those passionate about consumers reconnecting with their food.
The podcast is available on all platforms including Spotify as well as on their YouTube channel.
